Questions
Frequently asked
What does BetterDocket cost?
$10/month for your firm + $4/month per open case. Ten open cases cost $50/month. Unlimited team members and all BetterDocket features are included.
Could these rates change while you are in beta?
They could. We are still learning what the product is worth to firms, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend otherwise. What is fixed is your base rate: early-access firms keep the base rate they start at for a full year after their first paid invoice, and we will tell you before anything moves.
Are there contracts or long-term commitments?
No. Early-access firms run month-to-month. If BetterDocket is not helping, you can leave at any time.
What is included in the pilot?
Everything we ship is included: the firm workspace, the client portal, document requests, one-click firm updates, availability, key dates, and the public What's new page.
Do you work with firms outside the United States?
Not today. BetterDocket is offered to law firms established in and operating from the United States. We store and process data in the United States and do not offer Standard Contractual Clauses, an EU or UK representative, or data residency, so the Service is not built for firms handling personal data subject to the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or comparable non-US law. Our Terms and Data Processing Agreement set this out in full.
How do we get help?
Every screen in the firm app and the client portal has Help & feedback, which sends your question to us with the screen you were on and an optional screenshot attached. If you would rather write an email — or you cannot sign in — reach us at support@betterdocket.com. We aim to reply within one business day. Support is included; there is no separate plan for it.
