Services

Start, run, and grow the firm, from one place.

The business side of a law practice, done for you by the team that builds BetterDocket. One conversation, a written scope and a flat fee, and nothing in your name you have not reviewed.

How it works

One conversation, then a plan.

  1. Tell us about the firm

A short consultation on your state, practice, timeline, and what already exists. If you are starting from nothing, we come back with the full list in order.

  2. Get a written scope and a number

Each service is quoted as a flat fee, or a flat monthly fee for ongoing work, with third-party costs listed separately. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  3. We do the work, you review

Everything client-facing or signed in your name is reviewed by you first. You see the status of each item as it moves, and one person is your point of contact across every service.

  4. Run the firm on one platform

Intake, documents, dates, invoices, and the books hand off into BetterDocket if you use it. The software is a separate subscription and never a requirement.

A short consultation, then a written scope and a number. No retainer, no long-term contract, and nothing starts until you approve it.

BetterDocket is not a law firm, a CPA firm, or an insurance agency, and nothing on this page is legal, tax, or insurance advice. Where a service requires a licensed professional, that work is performed by a licensed professional in your state, either on our team or through a partner we vet. Every engagement is scoped and quoted after a consultation.

Questions.

Do I have to use BetterDocket's software to use the services?

No. Every service stands on its own. Firms that use both get the handoffs: intake that opens a Prospect Case, invoices that flow into the books, renewals that land on the calendar.

Who does the work?

The BetterDocket team delivers most of this work directly: the technology, web, and search work by the engineers who build the product, and the bookkeeping, tax, and payroll work by the CPA on our team. When a service requires a license we do not hold, or our team is at capacity, we bring in a vetted partner and stay your single point of contact.

Is BetterDocket a law firm, CPA firm, or insurance agency?

No. Where a service requires a licensed professional, a licensed professional in your state performs that work, on our team or through a partner we vet, and is responsible for it under their license.

How are services priced?

Scoped and quoted after a consultation. One-time work is a flat fee. Ongoing work, such as bookkeeping or SEO, is a flat monthly fee with no long-term contract.

Can I start with one thing?

Yes. Most firms do. A website, a formation package, or getting the trust account reconciled are common first engagements, and the rest is there when you need it.
