Send the documents your firm needs

When your firm needs a document from you, it appears on the case's Documents tab under "Documents your firm needs" — with instructions, a due date if there is one, and an Upload file button. Uploading there sends the file straight into your case, marks the request as submitted, and stops the reminder emails.

Upload a requested document

Press Upload file on the request, choose the file, add an optional note for the firm, and press Upload document. Accepted files: PDF, image, text, Word, or spreadsheet — 10 MB max. A clear photo taken with your phone works fine; you don't need a scanner.

Each request shows its status: Requested (waiting on you), Submitted (you sent it), or Complete (your firm confirmed it's what they needed). You can Upload another if the first file didn't cover it.

If you don't have the document

Press "I don't have this" and tell the firm why — "I never received this, can you send a copy?" — then Send to firm. They see your note right away, the reminders stop, and nobody spends a week waiting on a document that doesn't exist.

Files your firm shares with you

Documents your firm uploads for you appear on the same tab. Press Open file to view one. Opening and uploading files both need an internet connection — if you're offline, reconnect and try again.

About those reminder emails

While a request is open, you'll get a daily email reminder. It isn't your firm nagging on purpose — it's automatic, and it stops the moment you upload the file or answer "I don't have this." The fastest way to quiet the emails is to respond either way.
