Share dates that work for you

The case's Calendar tab does two things: it shows the dates your firm has shared — hearings, meetings, deadlines — and it lets you tell them when scheduling works for you, before anything gets booked.

Some firms handle scheduling outside the portal. If you don't see a Calendar tab on your case, or the tab shows dates without an Add availability button, that's your firm's choice — reach out in Messages instead.

What you'll see

Dates from your firm appear with a label for what they are: Deadline, Meeting, Hearing, Milestone, or Other. Switch between a month Calendar and a List view; the list groups what's current and upcoming apart from what's past. These dates are your firm's to manage — if one looks wrong, say so in Messages.

Tell your firm when you're available

Press Add availability and share dates the firm should know before scheduling:

  • TypeUnavailable ("I'm out of the country these two weeks") or Flexible ("any of these days works").
  • Start date and End date.
  • A Note for anything worth explaining.

Your firm sees it right away, alongside availability from anyone else on the case. Plans changed? Your own entries have Edit and Cancel — updates reach your firm immediately.

Nothing touches your personal calendar

BetterDocket doesn't connect to Google, Outlook, or Apple calendars — nothing is read from them and nothing is added to them. What you share here is only what you type, visible only to your firm and the others on your case. Put the dates in your own calendar however you normally would.

Adding or changing availability needs an internet connection; dates you've already seen stay readable offline.
