Ask the Case guide about your case
The Case guide — opened from Ask a question about this case on the case overview — is a place to ask questions about what your portal shows — "What is happening with my case?", "What should I do next?" — and get plain-English answers. Its answers come only from what your firm has shared with you in this portal; it knows nothing else about your case.
What it's good at
Ask it to explain what you're seeing — what a stage on your case path means, what a document request is asking for, what changed recently. It can also help you put a question into words: ask "help me ask my firm a question" and it drafts a message you can use.
Drafts are yours to send — or not
When the guide drafts a message, the draft appears with a "Copy before sending" tag. That's exactly what it means: nothing is sent for you, and nothing you do here reaches your firm. If you like the wording, copy it into Messages and send it yourself. If not, close it and nothing happened.
What it won't do
The guide cannot give legal advice — no predictions, no strategy, no "what should I decide." Those questions belong to your law firm; the guide will tell you so and help you ask them instead. It also cannot change your case: it can't send messages, upload documents, or alter anything. It explains and drafts, nothing more.
Private to you
Your conversations with the guide are yours alone — your firm doesn't see them, and neither does anyone else on your case. Past chats stay available on the tab, and you can start a new one anytime. The guide needs an internet connection to answer.
